After yesterday's 'mum disaster' on the inclines, we have decided on some true hill training for our last session. Four times up a hill about one mile long and 160m in elevation.
First attempt...not too bad. Maybe yesterday was just an off day!
We just scaled the Great Pyramid of Giza. (about 160m)
Second go. Hmm. Is it hot today or is this hard? Still, if we were in Paris, the view from the top of the Eiffel Tower would be worth it. (about 320m)
OK. So number three feels like we are pushing it but we have just achieved the equivalent of the Puli Bridge, China. That is the long distance from the footpath aaaaaaaaaaaallll the way to the bottom. (about 480m)
Hoorah!!! Well, if we could breath we would be cheering. We climbed a whole mountain. Maple Mountain in Canada to be exact. It may not be even in the top one hundred of high mountains but it is a mountain and we climbed it! Kind of. (about. 640m)
At least some of us did. CHEATER!
